Notes

How David developed intimacy with God

  1. Openness, vulnerability and honesty
    • In unanswered prayer
    • In failure
    • God has seen it all
  2. Growth in wisdom
    • Intimacy with the Father leads to wisdom and visa versa
    • 4 things we can learn
      1. Wisdom comes from listening to God – be still and know that he is God
      2. Willingness to listen and learn from others
      3. Wisdom leads to simplicity and brings clarity
      4. Jesus’s wisdom came from His intimate relationship with the Father
  3. Stand still and listen
    • Set aside time – prioritise it
    • It takes work & application
    • Personal & corporate quiet time
